Penelope FFA students enjoyed the National FFA Convention

From October 24th to the 27th, Penelope students took an exciting trip to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. 2018 Penelope graduate Nathan Green was honored with the American FFA Degree, one of the highest and most exclusive accolades given by the Future Farmers of America Organization.
Another of Penelope's high school students, Chris Marler, was given a special opportunity as well. Marler acted as one of the convention's 475 voting delegates, the body responsible for making decisions about the organization's constitution and future plans.
To conclude the convention, President Trump spoke to the assembly about the importance of farmers and the FFA. "Your time in the FFA, in the field, in the farm, in the land, and in the classroom has not only prepared you for a stellar, great career in something you love, it's taught you essential truths about life and about the world in which we live."
