State FFA Officers visit Penelope

With the school year now in full swing, Penelope School is still excited about a visit from the President of the 2018-2019 State FFA Officers, Cory Sinkule. A Penelope graduate himself, Sinkule spoke on October 17th about ways that students can live a more positive life and about his experiences in FFA during his time in high school. As part of the state’s FFA Travel Team, his stop in Penelope was just one of many as he will be traveling almost 40,000 miles and visiting nearly 400 schools within the state of Texas.

Cory Sinkule graduated from Penelope High School last May. He felt very welcomed during his visit, stating that, “It was a very humbling experience being able to have Penelope ISD as one of the many stops along my journey.”

Sinkule still has a number of schools to visit this year, but his time at Penelope will always be a positive moment in his life. “I know they are proud of my accomplishment within the FFA, but I am even more proud to say to everyone I meet along my journey that I am from Penelope. Once a Wolverine, always a Wolverine.”
